Introduction
The Boys’ Love (BL) genre has been gaining popularity in recent years, with its engaging storylines and heartwarming moments. BL dramas are known for their portrayal of romantic relationships between two male characters in a way that is both authentic and endearing. If you’re in the mood for some light-hearted romance and cute and fluffy BL moments, then BL dramas are the perfect fit for you.
Here are the top 5 cute and fluffy BL dramas that will have you swooning over the cuteness.
Bad Buddy

Bad Buddy is my one of the most favorite Thai BL dramas out there. It follows the story of two college students, who could not be any more different from each other. One is a popular, outgoing guy, while the other is a shy and introverted student. And, on the other hand, their both parents are sworn enemies who are neighbors too.
Both families hate each other’s guts and naturally, their sons (main characters) become enemies too. Despite their differences, it is interesting to see the phase from enemies to friends and friends to lovers. They slowly start to develop feelings for each other as they began to know each other.
This show is full of cute and fluffy BL moments and some steamy scenes that will surely get your heart racing. Bad Buddy is an excellent pick for anyone looking for a BL drama with a sweet and heartwarming storyline.
Semantic Error

Semantic Error is a Korean BL drama that tells a story about a college student named Cho Sang Woo, who is a genius programmer. He is cold and lacks social skills, and he is in need of a graphic designer for his project. Jae Young is a cheerful and outgoing person who is passionate about design. He is a senior in college and the last presentation project is the one that will help him in graduating. But Sang Woo blows up the chances of Jae Young’s graduation. And, that’s how we get to see them becoming enemies.
The drama is funny, quirky, cute and fluffy. This is the perfect drama to watch if you are new to the BL world and can surely show you ‘Love is Love’ nevertheless any gender. And, most importantly, it has 8 episodes with 25 minutes each which most Korean BL dramas lack.
Another Korean BL drama I loved is “To My Star” which also has cute and fluffy BL storyline. “The New Employee” is great too with office romance trope.
My Beautiful Man

My beautiful man, another cute and fluffy BL, is a Japanese drama about two high schoolers. Kiyoi is popular amongst the students whereas Hira is a quiet, awkward, and weird guy. The story starts off with the concept of bullying. Hira being shy and introverted is bullied by his classmates, including Kiyoi. He is ridiculed for his personality and behavior. But, the first time he had seen Kiyoi, he had already fallen in love with him and he don’t know what to do with those feelings.
Half of the drama is all about Hira fantasizing about Kiyoi and admiring his beauty. You might think how can Hira like a person who bullies him and all that…..but after watching another half of the drama, you might change your mind. The last half of the drama is all about Kiyoi’s perspective, how he sees Hira as a person, and how he has begun to like Hira too.
The story in this drama is so unique and different from other most of the BL dramas. The only thing I can say is ‘Don’t judge a book by its cover’, give this drama a chance and be patient to watch till the last of the episodes. I am sure you will like their weird, awkward, unique relationship and amazing chemistry. It has already released its Season 2 as well.
Vanishing My First Love / Kieta Hatsukoi

Vanishing My First Love is also a Japanese cute and fluffy BL drama which I really adore. The story follows Aoki, as the main charater, who is a high school student with bright personality. He has a secret crush on his female friend named Hashimoto. One day, during the exam, Aoki forgets to bring his eraser and Hashimoto gives her eraser to him to borrow. Aoki notices a small written word in the eraser that has “Ida <3”.
On the other hand, Ida is also a high schooler who is a classmate and was actually sitting in front of him during the exam. And, the most comedic and funny thing is that Ida has seen that “Ida <3” when mistakenly the eraser falls and he thinks Aoki has a crush on him. And, the confusion follows about who likes who??
In short, Aoki has a crush on Hashimoto, Aoki assumes that Hashimoto has a crush on Ida after seeing “Ida <3” when he borrowed that eraser. Ida assumes that Aoki has a crush on him after seeing that same “Ida <3” and the whole confusion is created but in reality, who likes who? It is funny to see all of them in confusion and assuming the wrong perspective. The drama is fun, light-hearted, and comedy that shows two boys falling in love despite having a lot of confusion and misunderstanding.
Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?

After all this, you might already know, I am sucker for Japanese BL drama. Cherry Magic is yet another Japanese BL drama which has cute and fluffy BL moments that you would swoon over. Kiyoshi Adachi is a virgin guy but after he reaches his 30th birthday, he develops an unusual magic of hearing other people’s thoughts by touching them. Yuichi Kurosawa is his co-worker. Kurosawa is really popular in the company. Everyone loves him and swoons over his ability to do work efficiently.
There comes a moment when Adachi suddenly comes in contact with Kurosawa and hears his thoughts. Hmm….what happens after he accidentally came to hear his thoughts? He came to know about Kurosawa’s crush on him. Out of all the things, he came to know that his popular co-worker, Kurosawa, is in love with him. Thinking that it will be awkward to face Kurosawa in the office, he tends to completely avoid him. But, work brings them together nevertheless and the magic happens. The drama is funny, emotional, sweet, and cute in a way you never expected it.
Conclusion
These can be the dramas that can show you a whole new different world and help in expanding your horizon about love. The above dramas are cute with their relatable characters, sweet storylines, and charming moments. These shows also highlight the diversity within the BL genre, with dramas from Thailand, Korea, and Japan on this list.
With so many great cute and fluffy BL dramas out there, these five are just the tip of the iceberg. So, if you’re looking for something new to watch, give these BL dramas a chance and fall in love with the genre.
